What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise you from one page to the next. Websites can also keep small notes in your browser's storage, for this tab or for longer. The law treats both the same way, so both are listed here.
Your choice now
When you first visit, we ask whether we may remember your preferences on this device. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and nothing optional is kept before you choose. Your choice is kept for 6 months, then we ask again.
Strictly necessary Always on
These make the site work: signing in, keeping your account safe, paying, and remembering the choice you make here. They cannot be switched off, and none of them follows you around the web.

Preferences Only if you agree
Choices you make, remembered on this device for next time. If you leave these off, the choices still work, but only until you close the tab.

What we do not use
We use no analytics, no advertising or retargeting, no social media buttons that track you, and no fonts, maps or videos loaded from other companies' servers. Our fonts and pictures are served from our own site. If we ever want to add anything optional, we will list it here and ask you first.
Other sites
When you pay by card, you go to Stripe's own payment page; when a professional checks their identity, they go to Didit's. Those pages set their own cookies, covered by their own policies: Stripe's cookie policy, Didit's privacy policy.
Staff using our admin panel also have their theme and menu remembered on their device by the panel itself.
Changing your mind
Change your choice whenever you like, from "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page or from your account menu. If you switch preferences off, what was remembered is forgotten on this device straight away.
You can also delete cookies or block them in your browser's settings. If you block the necessary ones, you will not be able to sign in.
